What patients say on Google
“Dr. Alamir needs to stay in his lane as a psychiatrist and stop trying to play therapist because he’s horrible at it. He acts as if mental conditions are simply a mindset instead of neurobiological conditions. It’s insulting! He disregards gene testing and prescribes drugs that are contraindicated. He seems to be comfortable prescribing old drugs instead of the newer drugs. He tries to scare you from atypical antipsychotics. Just horrible. He’s also cheap. In the year of 2026 his Telehealth consists of 5-minute phone calls instead of virtual visits and a Yahoo email address (not secure). I can only imagine because he doesn’t want to pay for it. I honestly believe he’s only in it for the money. Sara’s clinical expertise is limited. Go somewhere else. I’m pulling for you!”
“Dr. Alamir and his staff gave me a new outlook and a chance for a better, more meaningful life. He has been successfully managing my multiple conditions for almost 20 years.”
“Dr. Alamir and his entire team are amazing. Getting insurance approvals, treatment and continued treatment give me the touchstone I need. They care about their patients and it shows. I couldn’t recommend the practice more because people make the difference!”
“I stayed his patient for far too long. I received Spravato treatment under unhealthy conditions where his stay at home wife observed me. My insurance was paying his practice for a clinician, like a nurse, to watch me for 2 hours. His wife is anti-medicine and judgement towards those of us who struggle with our mental health. While receiving Spravato under her care she told me that she would never let her children go on antidepressants without a plan on coming off because she didn’t want her kids to be on the for prolonged periods. Apparently I’m beneath her and her family. An undesirable. The many traumas I have faced, along with having a frontal lobe contusion which has significantly impacted my mental health, is inexcusable. In her eyes I am weak and pathetic. In no way are her children to be anything like me. Most importantly to point out to others is that I was not allowed to see the psychiatrist outside of my Spravato treatments. I asked many times but was always told by his secretary that he would see me during my next appointment. This meant that everyone I spoke to the doctor I was under the influence and technically shouldn’t have been having discussions about my medications. His wife would always stay in the room while I discussed my medication changes. She was always there, always judging my weakness and need for an antidepressant. Other people who inappropriately observed me was his daughter during her summer breaks in undergrad, his other daughter who was in medical school, and his secretaries. I’ve woken up with just his non-clinician wife and I in the officer. I gave the doctor too much credit and was far too accepting of his behavior and I deeply regret this as it has negatively impacted me. His father was a senior intelligence officer in Syria, and mine was a senior intelligence officer for our military. My father was extremely ethical and always did the right thing. I was raised to follow in his footsteps and I just assumed it was something the doctor and I shared. This is clearly not the case. My father never acted like he was above the law. He always did the right thing even when on the battle field. I am grateful to have been raised by a great man and I wish others had been as well.”
